Marcela Castrillón Vélez
Executive Operations Manager
Marcela Castrillón Vélez joined The Schott Foundation for Public Education August 2001. Ms. Velez manages the operations of Schott's Cambridge office. She previously served as the Executive Assistant to the Schott Foundation President. Ms. Velez also served as an Administrative Assistant at the Boston Higher Education Partnership.
Prior to joining the Boston Higher Education Partnership, she worked as an Executive Secretary at the Multicultural Center at Bentley College for two years. Prior to that position, she served as an Office Assistant at the Massachusetts Pre-Engineering Program.
Ms. Velez has also served as a volunteer for “Christmas in April,” a non-profit organization whose goal is helping low-income, elderly and disabled homeowners achieve safety and independence through home renovation and rehabilitation. She is currently sponsoring an underserved child through “Fundación El Arca” headquartered in Medellin, Colombia.
Ms. Velez earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management from Lesley College in 1994.
